(Relationship between kinematic degrees of freedom and muscular force in dynamic training exercises.
KeywordsThe aim of the present work was to determine the influence of the number of degrees of freedom of a mechanism on the muscular force magnitude applied to it. This mechanism was realized using a physical pendulum. The results are shown that the increase in the number of degrees of freedom causes a significant drop of the maximal muscular force which accelerates the mechanism. It is suggested that, at least for high level sport performances, strength training should be accomplished using simulators of the actual sport exercise.
